I started writing my book about craziness prevention through dream interpretation in February of 1988, when I decided to prove to the world with my own example, my biography and my dreams, that the psychiatrist Carl Jung really discovered the only correct method of dream interpretation.

He could not publish anything about the lives of his patients, only their dreams… However, without details about the dreamers’ lives, we cannot really translate the meaning of their dreams.

The great thing about studying psychology in school is that, there are very many options open to you when you graduate. There are very many areas that a person can pursue a career in. You can look at it as an open ended social science. From the many classes taken through college, one can make a choice to find a psychology job in one of the different branches of psychology. This will require you to go back to school to specialize in one of the many options available.

There are different kinds of psychology jobs for example, criminal or forensic psychology where as a professional, you observe criminal minds and create psychological profiles. There’s sports psychology where the objective is to enhance endurance and performance, or child psychology, where you study children, their behavior, reactions and responses.

Patients are always surprised to learn that there are very few laws governing the practice of medicine. In fact, a physician who is licensed to practice medicine by his state medical board – whatever his specialty – can legally provide counseling for anyone, even if he or she has absolutely no training in psychology at all!

For instance, just because a doctor calls himself a psychiatrist is no guarantee that he is actually competent to practice psychiatry. For example, legally, a proctologist, a medical doctor certified as a specialist only in disorders of the rectum, can label himself as a non-board certified psychiatrist and do adolescent counseling for drug problems or psychotherapy for suicidal patients-all, with no training in psychology.
